The terrorists, who are getting ahead of the tactics of other security forces including the army, are now plotting to activate the Islamic State of Jammu and Kashmir (ISJK) once again in Kashmir. In Kashmir, local terrorists associated with Lashkar-e-Toiba, Hizbul Mujahideen and Jaish-e-Mohammed are now becoming part of ISJK. That is why his cadre is getting higher than before. The ISJK is currently commanded by Adil Ahmed Wani, a resident of Jamnagar Shopian in South Kashmir. However, the security agencies do not agree with this.

ISJK is a group of Kashmiri militants supporting the dreaded jihadist organization ISIS. The flag of ISIS in Kashmir and rallies and slogans in support of it started in 2014. However, at the end of 2016, the first indication of this terrorist organization, which considered Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi as its own boss, was found in Kashmir. In the year 2017, terrorists, supporters of the ideology of ISIS also started appearing here. Initially, ISJK (which once also named itself ISHP) also started its activities in association with Ansar Gajwat ul Khhhad, an organization of slain terrorist commander Zakir Musa. The militant activities of Hizbul, Lashkar, and Jaish in Kashmir are decreasing in Kashmir only because the local terrorists are going to the ISJK.

First killed Mugis
Terrorists like Isa Fazli, Dawood, Mugis Ahmed, Saeed Uwais Ahmed, Adil Das, Firdaus were the early terrorists of ISJK. Mugis Ahmed was the first terrorist of this organization to be killed in an encounter. He was killed in November 2017. A terrorist named Tausif, a resident of Telangana, also joined ISJK and was killed in South Kashmir in March 2018 along with Isa Fazli and Uwais.

Hizbul and Lashkar were against ISJK earlier
Hizbul and Lashkar opposed the ISJK in the Valley. Hizbul and Lashkar also targeted its terrorists. Due to lack of help from outside, it also lacked weapons. In June last year, Hizbul and Lashkar terrorists not only snatched arms from ISJK militants but also killed two terrorists. After this, Hizbul somehow compromised when ISJK threatened retaliation in the Valley.

Most of the terrorists are from Anantnag, Budgam, and Shopian
According to sources involved in counter-insurgency operations, the ISJK was completely silent since last June. Its cadre was also almost exhausted. It was believed that only one or two terrorists associated with ISJK remained.

However, the death of three terrorists in Lavepora on Wednesday proves that ISJK has been reactivated and its cadre is now more than ever. He said that according to the documents received from the slain terrorists and the information received from various sources during this time, there are about one and a half dozen ISJK terrorists all over Kashmir at this time. Most of them belong to the district Anantnag, Budgam and Shopian. In Srinagar also, one or two ISJK terrorists cannot be denied.

Raising money locally
Sources said that the terrorists operating in ISJK are locals. Many of them are from Lashkar, Hizb, and Jaish-e-Mohammed. These terrorists are collecting weapons from different sources at their own level or are taking part in ISJK by taking weapons from their old tanjim. The method of their funding is not yet known, on the basis of which it can be said that they are raising money locally.

This is why terrorists going to ISJK
Sources clearly say that most of the terrorists who became part of ISJK are influenced by social media and the propaganda of Bahavi jihadist elements roaming in different parts of Kashmir. Apart from the manner in which the activities of terrorist organizations like Pakistan, Hizbul, and Lashkar have decreased after the Center abolished Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, many local terrorists have gone to the ISJK and AGH. Its reactivation is very dangerous for peace and security in Jammu and Kashmir. Adil Ahmad Wani, a resident of Jamnagari Shopian, who was beaten up by Hizbul without getting any help from outside, means that there is enough support for ISJK in Kashmir.
