Jammu and Kashmir Fencing Association on Friday named the men and women teams for the upcoming 31st Senior National Fencing Championship to be held at Thyagraj Stadium in New Delhi from February 11 to 14, 2020. The J&K teams are accompanied by Rahul and Rashmi as men and women coach respectively, a handout issued by the Association here on Friday informed.


The selected teams also underwent screening conducted by the J&K Sports Council officers, Ravi Singh and Satish Gupta in the presence of Association General Secretary, Vijay Sharma, Joint Secretary, Rashid Choudhary, coaches, Rachna Jamwal and Shotu Lal.

The Teams:

MEN: Sabre: Vishal Thapar, Javeed Ahmed (both Jammu), Udhayveer Singh (Kathua) and Pradeep Kumar (Udhampur). Epee: Vishal Kashyap and Veer Sangram (both Jammu), Rajan Prasher (Udhampur) and Ajay Kumar (Reasi).
GIRLS: Sabre: Shreya Gupta, Jaspreet Kaur, Mokshi Sharma (all Jammu) and Rishika Khajuria (Kathua). Epee: Gazal Suri (Jammu), Archana Devi (Reasi), Rishika Sapolia (Kathua) and Riya Manhas (Reasi).
