Terrorist attack on RSS office and leaders may be revealed in intelligence input

The organization's leaders, along with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) office, can be targeted by global terrorist organizations. This has been revealed by intelligence agency Intelligence Bureau (IB) in its recent input. There has been a stir since this revelation. Intelligence revelations state that improvised explosive devices (IEDs) or explosive-laden vehicles (VB-IEDs) may be used for this attack. The attack may occur in Maharashtra, Punjab, Rajasthan.

The latest input released this month claimed that unknown persons associated with a global terrorist organization are planning to target RSS offices and leaders and police stations using IEDs or VB-IEDs in the coming days.

State Governments alerted

According to news agency ANI, sources have claimed that all the state governments have been alerted about this. They have also been asked to take appropriate measures for safety. A top government official claimed that security has been beefed up in other states including Maharashtra, Delhi, Punjab, Rajasthan, UP and Assam and the security of officials is also being reviewed. There are many examples of reports of attacks on RSS workers.

RSS worker attacked during the CAA rally in Bengaluru

Last month, the Bengaluru police arrested six accused in December for trying to kill an RSS worker who had attended a rally in support of the Citizenship Amendment Act 2019 (CAA). He was stabbed by RSS activist Varun Bopla. The accused were identified as Mohammad Irfan, Syed Akbar, Syed Siddique Akbar, Akbar Basha, Sanaullah Sharif and Sadiq ul-Amin. The police claimed that they had hatched a big conspiracy.
