There exists a gorgeous lake in Thailand that gets filled up with gorgeous pink lilies. The whole region looks like heaven on earth itself!

In a bid to boost tourism, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is calling travelers from across the globe, including locals tourists to explore the beauty of the ‘Pink Water Lilies Lake’.

About Lake
Set in the Udon Thani province, Nong Han Kumphawapi is a freshwater lake covering a huge 36 sq km area. Besides being a tourist destination, the lake is also one of Thailand’s significant wetlands. The water of the lake is used for agriculture and also for consumption by those living around in the region.

In order to witness the pink beauties, you’ll have to plan your travel sometime between October and March as this is the bloom time of these lilies. Tourists from around the world plan their Thailand trip around this time to witness this stunning gift of nature. Those interested in visiting the lake must plan their trip from 6 AM to 11 AM.

Tourists can hire cruise boats to experience the serenity of the lake and the beauty of the pink lilies. Also, a cruise is the best way to experience not only the lilies but also the natural surroundings. The region is also quite rich in wildlife and one can witness a wide range of fish and birds.

Besides the lake, the Udon Thani region is also renowned for its archaeological wonders. So if you are visiting the lake, you cannot miss out on visiting the world’s first Bronze Age Civilization there, which is more than 5000 years old.
