Indira Gandhi National Open University Regional Center Jammu held its 33rd convocation. In this, VC of Jammu University Prof. Manoj Dhar was the chief guest. 10533 students from Regional Center Jammu were declared eligible for degrees and diploma.

Out of this, 4782 Master's Degree, 5159 Bachelor's Degree, 402 Diploma and Post Graduate Program students were included. 113 students were awarded PG and Professional Program degrees and diplomas at the convocation. Pro. Manoj Dhar said that IGNOU is everybody's university. Its reach is across the country. Due to which many students are getting the opportunity to get higher education.

He congratulated all the students who got a degree. Dr. Vikram Singh, Regional Director, IGNOU read the report of the Center. He informed about the efforts made to empower the students.

The name of Hardeep Kaur, a student of Journalism and Mass Communication, was announced with a special mention at the convocation of IGNOU Jammu Regional Center. Hardeep Kaur won the Gold Medal in Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication, performing best all over the country. The speakers said that it is a matter of pride for the IGNOU Center.
