A farewell function was organized on the superannuation of Principal Govt. Model Degree College, Mahanpur, Dr. Raj Kumar Bhardwaj.
A formal welcome address was given by Prof. Balbir Kumar, (Economics) and the function started with Sarasvati Bandna , followed by a cultural programme presented by the college students. The function was attended by local sarpanches and BDC chairman.

The Principal Dr. Raj Kumar in his address thanked the staff and the students for giving him such a warm send off. he has cherished the time spent at GMDC mahanpur as a memorable span of life. He also thanked the local body representatives for their efforts in making every work in the college successful.

The Principal was felicitated by the all teaching and non-teaching staff of the college. Among the teaching staff Prof Munisha, Prof Balbir, Dr Wani, Dr. Kamini Sharma, Prof Rakesh, Prof Suirinder were present, among the Non Teaching staff Dr J S Soodan (Physical Director) Saurab Dutta (Librarian), Ramesh Kumar, Ashok Sharma, Surinder Kumar, Sunny, Sewa Ram, Mukesh, Anu Bala and Anu Rani were present. Vote of thanks was presented by Prof. Munisha Devi (Education).
