The Jammu and Kashmir administration on Monday announced a night curfew from 7 pm to 7 am everyday during the third phase of the ongoing lockdown to curb the spread of COVID-19 in the Union Territory.
“Prohibitions (Curfew) on movement in ALL areas between 7 PM and 7 AM. No movement without passes. Medical emergencies exempted,” government spokesman Rohit Kansal said in a tweet.

Chief Secretary B V R Subrahmanyam issued a detailed order on permissible and non-permissible activities during the lockdown period from Monday to May 17.
“The movement of individuals for all non-essential activities between 7 pm and 7 am is barred. District Magistrates shall issue specific prohibitory orders in this regard under Section 144 of CrPC,” the order said.
According to the order, suspension on air travel will continue except for medical services, air ambulances, security purposes and those purposes permitted by the home ministry.

Train services and all road transport services for passengers shall also remain suspended, the order said.
“All schools, colleges, universities, educational/ training/ coaching institutions etc. will remain closed. However, online/distance learning shall be permitted,” the order reads.

Hospitality services, cinema halls, shopping malls, gymnasiums, sports complexes, swimming pools, entertainment parks, theatres, bars, liquor shops, restaurants, spas, saloons, parlours, barber shops and auditoriums and assembly halls shall also remain closed, the order said.
Meanwhile twenty-five more people tested positive for COVID-19 in Jammu and Kashmir, taking the number of cases in the Union territory to 726, officials said here.
Of the fresh cases, 24 are in Kashmir and one in Jammu region, they added. This takes the total number of cases reported so far in the Union territory to 726, 664 are from Kashmir and 62 from Jammu.

While 303 patients have recovered, eight people have died of the disease so far. There are 415 active cases at present, the officials said.
According to the daily Media Bulletin, out of 726 positive cases, 415 are Active Positive, 303 have recovered and 8 have died. Moreover, 16 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals from Kashmir Division.

The Bulletin said that out of 28199 test results available, 27473 samples have tested as negative till May 04, 2020.
Furthermore, till date 77656 travellers and persons in contact with suspected cases have been enlisted for surveillance which included 11850 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 182 in Hospital Quarantine, 415 in hospital isolation and 7232 under home surveillance. Besides, 57969 persons have completed their surveillance period.

Providing district-wise breakup, the Bulletin said that Bandipora reported 2 positive cases making a total of 130 positive cases with 68 Active Positive, 61 recovered (including 6 recovered today), 1 death; Anantnag district has 109 positive cases with 107 Active Positive, 1 recovered, 1 death; Srinagar reported 3 cases today making it 109 positive cases with 32 Active Positive, 75 recovered (including 5 recovery today), 2 deaths; Baramulla reported 12 cases today, totaling to 103 positive cases with 61 Active Positive, 39 recovered ( including 5 recoveries today), 3 deaths; with 2 fresh cases today, Shopian has 83 positive, 64 Active Positive, 19 recovered; Kupwara has 66 positive cases with 43 Active Positive, 23 recovered; Budgam also reported 4 new cases today thus taking total of positive cases to 30 wherein 18 are Active Positive and 12 recovered cases; Ganderbal has 14 positive cases and all of them have recovered; Kulgam has 11 positive cases with 8 Active Positive and 3 recoveries; Pulwama reported 1 positive case, thus district has 9 positive cases with 6 active positive, 3 recovered.

Similarly, Jammu has 27 positive cases with 1 active positive case reported today and 26 have recovered; Udhampur 20 positive cases, 19 recovered and 1 death, while as Samba has 7 positive cases wherein 3 are Active Positive and 4 have recovered; Rajouri has 4 positive cases, 1 active positive and 3 have recovered; Kathua has 1 positive case who is active positive; Kishtwar had only 1 positive case who has recovered. Ramban and Reasi districts each have one positive case which is active positive.
