Laborers reach Lakhanpur from Agra by paying 70 thousand rupees

The government's claims of providing non-payment of rent to households are far from the reality. Workers have to pay huge rent to reach their home state.

Two days ago, the buses which reached the people of Jammu and Kashmir from the districts of Bareilly, Moradabad, etc. in the north, reached Lakhanpur, came booking for 35 to 40 thousand rupees.

At the same time, the buses which reached Lakhanpur on Saturday were booked from Agra to Lakhanpur for 70 thousand rupees.

Uttar Pradesh 291 laborers stranded in Jammu and Kashmir were sent to their homes on Friday-Saturday night. All of them had reached Lakhanpur in Kathua on foot from Jammu and stayed here for four days.

The district administration, with their efforts, has sent them to their home state. All these have been left for Aligarh, Agra, Bareilly, Moradabad in Uttar Pradesh by eight buses. These are the same buses which reached Lakhanpur carrying the people of Jammu and Kashmir stranded in other states. All buses are sanitized before departure. 35 workers have been accommodated in each bus.
