District Magistrate Udhampur, Dr Piyush Singla on Sunday ordered partial conditional relaxation in daily services and commodities during the ongoing national lockdown in District Udhampur from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

"In view the prevailing situation in District Udhampur and guidelines for regulating activities within the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir for effective Containment of COVID-19, it is felt that relaxation be provided to various daily service/commodity providers on roster basis so that the general public may get availability of basic necessities," reads the order.

As per order, chemist / medical shops, milk and other dairy products, poultry / meat shops and agriculture input shops/ animal feed and fodder will be open from Monday to Sunday while grocery/Karyana/provisional/co nfectionary shops on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday; utensil shops on Monday and Friday; book seller/ stationery shops on Sunday and Thursday; mobile/computer shops on Monday, Wednesday and Friday; shops dealing in sale/repair of electric home appliances on Monday, Wednesday and Friday; vehicle repairing workshop excluding showrooms on Wednesday and Sunday; gold smith/jewellery shops on Sunday and Thursday; shops dealing in sale of clothes/ Apparels/shoes excluding shopping mall on Sunday and Wednesday; cement/hardware shops on Saturday and Tuesday; and cosmetic/Manyari shops on Thursday and Saturday.

"The shopkeepers/retailers/service providers shall work with 50 per cent strength of workers and be responsible for maintenance of proper social distancing during relaxation period, wearing of mask/face cover while providing the service to customers and no person above the age of 60 years shall be engaged in sale purchase activity as they are more vulnerable to infection," the order stated and added "No pillion rider on two wheeler shall be allowed in Udhampur Town and surrounding areas."

"Any establishment seen violating the aforesaid schedule shall be sealed immediately and invite action under relevant sections of law," the order stated and added "Sub Divisional Magistrates in their respective jurisdiction shall decide at their own level about level of restrictions/relaxations."
