The eyes are now on the central government regarding the Amarnath Yatra. The decision on the journey will be taken according to the instructions of the center regarding the lockdown. Currently, passenger registration has been postponed until 31 May. This is the fourth time the registration date has been extended.

The yatra is proposed to be started on June 23 in the schedule of Shri Amarnath Shrine Board. Meanwhile, on Thursday, the news floated on social media about 15 days of travel period and only the journey started from Baltal route.

In the old schedule of the board, advance passenger registration process was to be started in bank branches across the country from April 1, but it was not possible due to the lockdown on March 25. After this, there have been 4 consecutive lockdowns, which did not start the registration process.
