Pensioners and retired personnel of Jammu and Kashmir Police Friday staged a protest alleging anomalies in the payment of pensions to them. They alleged while the benefits of the fifth pay panel were being provided to them effective from the date of order in their favour, they demand that the same be provided to them with effect from 1995 when the fifth pay commission was implemented in the state.
The protest was led by Ajit Singh who heafs that All J&K Non Gazetted Police Pensioners Association. He said while all other employees are getting benefits from 1995, it was only the police department employees who have been deprived of that.
