17 militants killed so far this month in Shopian.
03 militants were killed in an ongoing gunfight with Government forces in Turkwangam area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Tuesday.

Official sources told that three (03) militants were killed in the operation. However, he said the identity of the slain militants was yet to be ascertained. A senior Police officer told that bodies are yet to be retrieved from the encounter site.

Earlier, According to the reports , a joint team of Police, Army’s 44RR and CRPF launched a cordon-and-search-operation in Turkwangam.
