Congress protests, seeks high level probe, action in death of COVID victim�s relatives

Congress held a strong protest and sought high level prove and action against the culprits in the tragic death of two nephews of a COVID victim at the cremation ground Jammu, yesterday.

The senior Congress leaders held a strong protest outside PCC HQ Jammu demanding high-level probe and stern action against the culprits in the most shameful and tragic incident leading to the casualty of two nephews of COVID victim when they have gone to the cremation ground to perform last rites.

�It is highly inhuman as well as a shameful act at the part of entire administrative machinery and the result of serious negligence and culpability,� they said.
Led by Vice President PCC and former Minister Raman Bhalla, Chief Spokesperson Ravinder Sharma, Incharge District President and former Minister Yogesh Sawhney, General Secretary PCC Manmohan Singh and president DCC Rural Hari Singh Chib, Chairman OBC Suresh Dogra, Neeraj Gupta Secretary PCC, Councilors Gourav Chopra, Kamal Singh, Dr. R.K Khajuria, Dewan Chand, Proshatam Mehra, David (Babloo), Kewell Jogi and others raised slogans seeking high-level probe and stern action against culprits besides compensation and jobs to the next of kin.

�How the police and medical team failed to perform their duties and the entire administration negligence of handling of the situation,� Raman Bhalla questioned.
He said this has sent shock waves and fear amongst society and exposed the hollowness of the system to deal with coronavirus.
He demanded stern action and a high-level probe in the incident.

Yogesh Sawhney lashed out at the administration for total failure and sheer negligence of the administration in dealing with a situation that has sent shock waves and fear amongst the people.

He said the magistrate inquiry is not sufficient to do justice in this serious matter and demanded a judicial probe in the matter.
