Directorate launched an initiative in Jammu division to start online home classes / Home assignments, distribution of books / printed study material, caching through local FM channels and TV channels in addition to SWAYAM Prabha channel of NCERT on doordarshan. However, there is still a large number of students who don�t have access to electronic gadgets and / or Internet, Television etc.

Therefore, it is felt that on intensive campaign of Academic Mentoring needs to be launched for handholding of each child. Nobody can do it better than the teacher.
The HDIs will also share class wise details and contact numbers of all students as per enclosed annesures for random verification in the district. The Department will carry out the audit of the performance of the teachers by constituting different teams at district and division level in respect of home classes and home assignments.
