EJAC(R) seeks wages and regularization policy for daily wagers

J&K Employees Joint Action Committee (R) has demanded a comprehensive regularization and wages policy for lakhs of daily rated workers engaged in various departments in the union territory of J&K and rehabilitation of the same on different guidelines issued by the union government.
The EJAC has urged upon the incumbent union territory government of J&K to draw a comprehensive permanent policy for more than one lakh daily wagers engaged in various departments.
�A cabinet decision made by the previous coalition government drafted out a new regularization policy under SR0S20 which has been rejected by the EJAC and daily wagers as against their interests. However the EJAC demands revival and amendment of SR0-64 of 1994 and adopt the same guidelines for the regularization of daily wagers,� the association members said in a press meet, here on Tuesday. The association pointed out that the especially the essential services department that despite being vulnerable to risks continued their duties have been yet again ignored. The association demanded a uniform and immediate decision for all the pending and awaited regularization that have been cleared and approved by the previous cabinets.
The press meet was addressed by EJAC (R) chief Babbu Malik alongwith Yashpal Sharma, Kulwant Singh Sambyal, Darshan Magotra, Meenakshi Sharma, Naresh Sharma, Parshotam Sharma, Rohit Seth, Vikas Chancier, Arun Sharma, Munish Sharma, Anil Singh Salathia, S.R. Rathore, Sham Singh, Naresh Kumar, Rajni Jamwal, Naresh Sharma, Ashok Sharma, Neeraj Sharma, Mohd Sadiq, Ramesh Duna, Hafiz-ul-Rehman, Lekh Raj Sharma, Mohd Arif, Preeti Sharma and Vijay Singh.
