Evict illegal encroachers and demolish all illegal structures on Government land: IKKJUTT Jammu

Today Akhnoor district executive committee of IKKJUTT Jammu held a press conference at their District office Akhnoor. District Executive Committee in their press address demanded eviction of all illegal encroachers from five panchayats of Tehsil Maira Mandrian in Akhnoor i.e. Kandi, Nardi, Barui, Maira Mandrian and Gharratal.
Addressing the press conference Sushil Sharma member of District Executive Committee Akhnoor said that last month few locals of Tehsil Maira Mandrian revealed that around thousands of canals of land is being illegally encroached by people of a particular community in five panchayats of Tehsil. He said that a religious site (Masjid) was also constructed by them during the lockdown on government land. He said that it is strategically move of a particular community (Muslims) to change the demography of the Jammu region by Land Jihad.
He said it is issue of grave concern that how authorities allowed them to construct the illegal structures during lockdown when there was strict SOP's. He further said that the illegal encroachers have made pakka structures on State/Custodian land in these panchayats. He said that action of revenue department and other concerning authorities is under scanner as till now no eviction of encroachers is done neither the illegal structures have been demolished. He further raised question that whether all kinds of document verification and formalities were done for making their adhaar, Voter cards, ration cards and before providing them electricity connections.
He allege that government departments without their proper verification is providing them all government facilities and at present also rural development department knowing all is spending huge amount for the encroachers and are making water sources for them. He demanded there should be high level enquiry of officials who allowed their illegal settlement and made their all documents without proper enquiry.
Akhnoor District Executive Committee of IKKJUTT Jammu demanded immediate eviction of illegal encroachers and demanded all illegal structures should be demolished. They warned authorities if soon the administration fails to take action they will launch massive movement against it. Others who were present are: - Abhishek Verma, Adarsh Bakshi, Sagar Hans, Arun Jamwal, Dheeraj kumar, Mohit, Gourav Sharma, Ashwani etc.
