With Raksha Bandhan just around the corner, some Rakhi makers in Jammu city has taken the opportunity to package their products with messages to spread awareness about Covid-19.

Raksha Bandhan will be celebrated in the entire country on August 3rd.
Raksha Bandhan is observed on the last day of the Hindu lunar calendar month of Shraavana, which typically falls in the month of August. The expression "Raksha Bandhan," Sanskrit means "the bond of protection, obligation or care.

With Raksha Bandhan round the corner and Coronavirus cases still rising in Jammu Division, the people of J&K infact the entire country may not be able to celebrate the much awaited festival with their loved ones.

The pandemic has adversely impacted the Rakhi business as well in Jammu. According to Market sources, unlike previous years there is 70 to 80 % less business this year in the wholesale market.
Now the important thing is how the Government of Jammu and Kashmir will handle this situation. What can we expect before this big festival. Whether the Government will continue with the same Guidelines, allow some sort of more relaxation or can we expect some sort of strict action from our Government.
