Today marks the first anniversary of Article 370 and 35A Abrogation from jammu and kashmir which was split into two Union Territories following Center's UT move last year. The whole nation is celebrating the movement. Bhartiya janta party has decided to celebrate this occasion in a grand style while adhering to the Covid-19 related SOPs and guidelines. The party has planned a 15-day-long celebration that will begin on August 5 and conclude on August 20. A series of programs and events will be organized as part of the celebrations.

Today the celebrations began with the hoisting of the tricolor in each and every Mandal, booth, Panchayat, municipal ward and district of J&K.
In this regard UT vice president mahela morcha / prabhari south and central kashmir smt Rumaisa Rafiq hoisted the tricolor flag at lal chowk Anantnag and celebrated the movement in a grand expression followed by recitation of national anthem and salute to the national flag. The dignity said that it is a proud movement for all of us to have such a prime minister who has the nerve to take bold decisions for long term benifits to the nation.

In her speech Smt Rumaisa Rafiq explained the benifits of article 370 and 35A abrogation. She said that development had stopped in j & k due to these articles. Employment for youth had been far away as private sector didnot develope in j & k due to existence of article 370. Pointing towards regional parties of Jammu and kashmir Smt Rumaisa Rafiq quoted "they used 370 and 35A for their own political benifits".

Praising the efforts of honourable Prime Minister shri Narendra Modi ji and honorable Home Minister shri Amit Shah ji she said that it is our honor to have such party head who have all leadership qualities to govern a country and lead to prosperity and development. She thanked all party karekartas to participate in the program and following sop's and participating social distances despite lockdown and covid-19 risk. She also thanked people for their cooperation and trust in party.
