Inter-state drug peddler held with 702 kg poppy straw

Today on 12-08-2020,A Police party of PP Narwal headed by SI Vikas Jasrotia IC PP Narwal, along with Magistrate conducted checking of a truck bearing registration No JK03C-8405 at Narwal.
On physical checking of above said truck poppy straw like substance having weight 702 kg got recovered from the said truck ,which was concealed under the empty plastic crades.
On this a case bearing FIR No.202/2020 u/s 8/15/25 NDPS Act got registered at P/S Bahu Fort. Accused(i.e Driver of the Truck ) namely Parvez Ahmed Ganie S/O Abdul Ganie R/O Murran,Pulwama got arrested and further investigation is continuous.
Jammu police seeks cooperation from civil public especially the youth in the eradication of this Drug Menance.For this police has provided no.9086100100 or 100 for sharing information.Identity of the informer will be kept confidential.
