Explosion at Tamil Nadu firecracker factory, at least seven dead

In an unfortunate incident, at least seven people of a firecracker factory were charred to death after an explosion at its unit in Tamil Nadu's Cuddalore district on Friday. The intensity of the blast was massive as it brought down the entire structure of the factory. Meanwhile, fire fighting officials are at the spot. The police are probing the cause of the blast in the firecracker factory. The incident happened at Kurungudi village in Kattumannarkoil, 190 km from the state capital Chennai.
Cuddalore Superintendent of Police M Sree Abhinav said that the death toll in the explosion incident stands at seven.
