India sees highest single-day jump of 97,570 COVID-19 cases; tally crosses 46 lakh-mark

With a record single-day surge of 97,570 coronavirus cases, the total number of infections in the country climbed to 46,59,984 on Saturday. The death toll has risen to 77,472 in the country with 1,201 more persons succumbing to the viral infection in the last 24 hours, according to the latest data released by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Of the total cases, 36,24,196 have been successfully treated while one case has been migrated from the country. There are 9,58,316 active cases of COVID-19 in India and all are under medical supervision.
