Unlock 4.0: Students of classes 9 to 12 can visit schools in Haryana from September 21

All the students of classes 9 to 12 will be allowed to visit their schools in Haryana on a voluntary basis from September 21. The schools have been directed to follow the health ministry's guidelines for partial reopening of schools for students of classes 9th to 12th. The Directorate of School Education in a letter to district education officers (DEOs), stated that the schools must follow the standard operating procedures (SOP). As per the guidelines, all the school teachers need to install the Aarogya Setu app and undergo a Covid-19 test ahead of partial reopening of the schools. Also, the school authorities have been directed to do thermal scanning of students before entering the premises.

List of SOPs to be followed:

1. With rising number of Covid-19 cases, a seating arrangement has to be made to ensure a distance of 6 feet between chairs, desks etc and the teaching faculty will ensure that they themselves and students wear masks throughout the conduct of the teaching/guidance activities.
2. Physical distancing shall also be maintained in staff rooms, office areas including reception area, and other places such as mess, libraries, cafeterias, etc.
3. Concerned teaching and non-teaching employees (up to 50 per cent of the strength) may be called to schools for online teaching/tele-counselling and related work.
4. If transportation facility is being managed by the school, proper physical distancing, sanitisation of buses/other transport vehicles (with 1 per cent sodium hypochlorite) shall be ensured.
