Here is a list of some of the famous grossing movies that have been shot in the valley of snow, Kashmir:

1. Kashmir ki Kali
Remember the classic from the older days, yes, exactly; the song “yeh chand sa roshan chehera” remains immortal along with the movie owing to the classic fragrance of Kashmir in it.

2. Junglee

3. Lakshya

4. Dil Se
This classic by Shah Rukh Khan is worth going down the pages as well. A story based on the remnants of a terror-ridden Kashmir and the pulsating love story between two people is what grabs the attention of the spectators.

5. Sikander

6. Mission Kashmir

7. Rockstar
The debut film of Nargis Fakri alongside co-star Ranbir Kapoor has been shot in Kashmir. The beauty of the place is brilliantly depicted at a number of song sequences. Since the character played by Nargis was that of a Kashmiri girl, a portion of the film had to be shot there.

8. Student of the year
Remember the lovely “Ishq wala love” song enacted by debutants Varun Dhawan, Siddharth Malhotra, and Alia Bhatt; well the entire song sequence was covered under the elegance of Kashmir during the time of snowfall. No wonder it looked so good on screen.

9. Jab Tak Hai Jaan

10. Highway
The entire movie enacted by Alia Bhatt and Randeep Hooda was shot in Kashmir. Under the instructions of director Imtiaz Ali, the movie depicted Kashmir in its true lights.

11. FITOOR
Directed by Abhishek Kapoor, the film starring Katrina Kaif, Aditya Roy Kapoor and Tabu was shot in Kashmir and Warsaw. Fitoor failed to earn much at box office but the film’s jaw-dropping locations make it a must watch.

12. Haider : Haider is a 2014 Indian drama film directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, and co-written by Basharat Peer and Bhardwaj. It stars Shahid Kapoor as the titular protagonist, and co-stars Tabu, Shraddha Kapoor and Kay Kay Menon. Irrfan Khan appears in an extended special appearance. The film is a modern-day adaptation of William Shakespeare's tragedy Hamlet and Curfewed Night of Basharat Peer set amidst the insurgency-hit Kashmir conflicts of 1995 and civilian disappearances.
