Chinese soldier apprehended in Ladakh, Army sources hint at 'inadvertent' entry

A Chinese soldier was apprehended by security forces in Chumar-Demchok area in Ladakh on Monday. Sources revealed that the soldier of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) might have entered into the Indian territory "inadvertently".

Further, sources said that the soldier was in the safe custody of the Indian Army. His verification has been done and will be handed over to the Chinese side as per the established protocol following due procedure.
