Dev flashes a double thumbs-up sign from his hospital bed as he recovers after angioplasty. Former cricketer Chetan Sharma on Friday shared a picture of veteran cricketer Kapil Dev as the latter underwent an angioplasty after suffering a heart attack at Fortis hospital in South Delhi. He captioned the picture, “Kapil Pa ji is OK now and is sitting with his daughter Amya, Jai Mata Di.” The legendary all-rounder is seen flashing a double thumbs-up sign from his hospital bed and his daughter Amiya is also seen sitting on a chair beside his hospital bed smiling while he is posing for the camera.
Kapil, according to a bulletin from Fortis-Escorts Heart Institute Hospital in south Delhi on Friday, was in the Intensive Care Unit and would be discharged in a couple of days. The 61-year-old, who is based in Delhi's Sundar Nagar area, complained of chest pain on Thursday following which he was taken to Fortis Escorts Heart Institute emergency department in Okhla.
The 1983 World Cup-winning legendary all-rounder was wished a speedy recovery by many on social media, including Virat Kohli and Sachin Tendulkar among others.
