The Mumbai zonal unit of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has carried out a major crackdown on the drug supply chain, and arrested two major suppliers in connection with the Sushant Singh Rajput case. The NCB has also arrested a major drug supplier and peddler, who has been identified as Regale Mahakal. As per NCB sources, Mahakal, who is one of the biggest drug suppliers in Mumbai, had supplied drugs to some of the top peddlers and is associated in supplying drugs that were consumed by late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The NCB officials have confirmed that Mahakal supplied drugs to Anuj Keshwani, who was arrested in September for his alleged involvement in the Sushant Singh Rajput case. Keshwani used to supply drugs to Kaizan, who was also arrested by the NCB in the same case. According to sources, the drugs supplied to Kaizan had been sold to Sushant Singh Rajput, allegedly through Rhea Chakraborty and Showik Chakraborty. On Wednesday, raids are being conducted at Lokhandwala in Andheri, and a large amount of cash and drugs have been recovered. Based on disclosure given by Mahakal, the NCB officials raided a premise belonging to one Azam Shaikh Juman, who is said to be the kingpin and ringleader of the gang in which Mahakal has been involved. The NCB operation is underway at three places in western suburbs of Mumbai on Wednesday, one of which is at Lokhandwala. Drugs, including high-quality hashish (malana cream), ecstasy tablets, marijuana and others, worth around Rs 3 crore were recovered from there, along with Rs 13.5 lakh. Other than Mahakal and Juman, a third suspect is being questioned in the case. The third suspect is said to be associated with some top personalities, and the same is being verified by the NCB officials now.
