Travelling in COVID: Trio pedals from Mumbai to Kanyakumari without missing a single day's office work

The pandemic has taught the world a lot of things and most importantly made humans a lot self-reliant. Since the outbreak of COVID-19, almost half of the workforce started working from home and it soon became the new normal. But three friends from Maharashtra decided to make the most of their work-from-home time by logging-in for work while also out on a bicycle journey!

Meet the trio, Allwyn Joseph, Bakcen George and Ratish Bhalerao. The three men decided to change the entire concept of work-from-home and embarked on a month-long cycling trip amid pandemic.

The three friends pedalled their way from Mumbai to Kanyakumari on their cycles and managed to cover a long distance of 1687 km! But the catch here is, they never missed their office, not for a single day during their trip.

How did they manage work and their cycling trip?
So the question here is, how did the trio manage their professional and travel life? Well, the three would make a stop at highway dhabas or lodges and would log in. They would cycle for 80 km every day but on the weekends, they pushed for more. The three professionals used to start cycling around 4 AM and reach their destination by 11 AM to start their office work. And that�s how they managed such a long and inspiring journey together.

The three have been friends for more than 20 years now and all are avid travellers. The trio said they felt struck at home while working from home, and thus decided to do things that would make them happier than feeling frustrated in such times.

The trio have made working-from-cycle a possibility for many out there. They had to face several challenges on their way but the trio says �it was worth it�.

During their month-long trip, they pedalled their way through gorgeous places such as Belgaum, Satara, Hubali, Pune, Kolhapur, Bengaluru, Salem and Davanagere, among others.
