Petrol price crosses psychological barrier of Rs 100

18-02-2021

Petrol price has crossed the psychological barrier of Rs 100 in Sriganganagar district in Rajasthan. Petrol in Sriganganagar is retailing at Rs 100.13 on Thursday while diesel is selling at Rs 92.7 per liter. People are bearing brunt of petrol prices . Petrol and diesel prices in Delhi stood at Rs 89.88 per litre (increase by 34 paise) and Rs 80.27 per litre (increase by 32 paise), respectively. On a day when petrol crossed the Rs 100 mark, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the middle-class would not have been burdened if the previous governments had focussed on reducing India's energy import dependence. PM Modi addressed the issue, though not specifically in the context of the price in Sri Ganganagar.
