On Commando’s 8th year anniversary, producer Vipul Amrutlal Shah had a very good news for fans. The producer-filmmaker announced the fourth instalment of the Commando series, Commando 4. Though Vipul did not reveal much about the casting or the storyline, he sure did assure everyone that the makers will take the Commando franchise to a new level. Commando, starring Vidyut Jammwal, Jaideep Ahlawat and Pooja Chopra, completed eight years on April 12, 2021. On this occasion, producer of the film, Vipul Amrutlal Shah, talked at length about the making of the first instalment and also announced Commando 4. “We are glad that we are talking about Commando 4 and taking the franchise to a new level,” the producer-director said. From Vipul’s statement, it only appears that Commando 4 will be high on action and drama and Vidyut Jammwal could be a part of it, much like the other three instalments. Vipul Amrutlal Shah did not reveal details about when the film is set to go on floors or its release date. Commando: A One Man Army released in 2013. The action thriller film was directed by Dilip Ghosh. The USP of the film was its high-octane action sequences and of course, Vidyut Jammwal, who performed the scenes with great ease. Vidyut Jammwal played the role of Commando Karanveer Singh Dogra while Jaideep Ahlawat was the antagonist in the film. The second instalment, Commando 2: The Black Money Trail, released in 2017. It was directed by Deven Bhojani. The third instalment, Commando 3, hit the screens on November 29, 2019. The film starred Vidyut Jammwal, Gulshan Devaiah, Adah Sharma and Angira Dhar.
