BCCI secretary Jay Shah has heaped praise on Prithvi Shaw after the Mumbai batter hit 379 runs against Assam on Wednesday in the Ranji Trophy fifth round match. Shaw was at his brilliant best against Assam as he hit the highest individual score by a Mumbai batter in the competition off just 383 deliveries. His innings contained 49 boundaries and four sixes. This was also the second highest score by a batter in the Ranji Trophy and many have praised the effort by the 23-year-old on Wednesday. The likes of Suryakumar Yadav and Shreyas Iyer showered praise on their Mumbai teammate. The BCCI secretary has now joined in praising Shaw and posted a heartfelt message on Twitter. Shah called it an extraordinary innings and congratulated the Mumbai batter. The BCCI secretary said Shaw was a player of immense potential and said he was super proud of his efforts.
