Actress Shweta Tripathi Sharma is slowly but surely making her mark in the acting world. Kaalkoot Shweta's flawless performance as an acid attack survivor has been praised in the latest crime thriller. She talks about her desire to write about meaningful roles, upcoming shows, and everything in between.
With projects like Masaan, Haraamkhor, Gone Kesh, Mirzapur, Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein, and Kaalkoot, the actor feels, "That has always been what drives me, and starting a conversation about something interesting and educational for society. From signing to serialization, promotions, and feedback, I love everything because it sparks meaningful dialogue. For example, Gone Kesh or Kaalkoot are stories about different women and deal with different themes. If my projects were completely commercial and not purposeful, the conversations would be very different and monotonous. So this is my way of talking about the changes we want to make as a society."

Kaalkoot may have started a fresh discussion about acid attack survivors, but it is also about police procedures and what happened in the investigation. Shweta believes that homework for the role was emotional. “The fact that my shots of Parul, Golu, and Shalu in Kaalkoot, Mirzapur, and Masaan cannot be put together is a big win and the feedback from the audience is icing on the cake,” he adds.
