hree people, including a police officer, were injured in an explosion during cleaning work in the warehouse of Khutar police station on Monday, police said.

A sudden explosion took place in the "malkhana" of the police station, a warehouse of goods seized by the police during the investigation, Superintendent of Police Ashok Kumar Meena told PTI.

Police constable Shailendra Shukla, who was cleaning the warehouse, retired constable Jaipal Singh and security guard Latif were injured in the blast, Meena said.

He said the injured was taken to the hospital here.


The cause of the blast is not yet known, the SP said and added that an investigation has been ordered into the matter.
