RIL chairman Mukesh Ambani on Monday said Reliance Jio's 5G services are the fastest ever rollout of its scale anywhere in the world and the company is "on track" to cover the entire country with a super-fast network by December this year. per year.
JioAirFiber will be launched on Ganesh Chaturthi on September 19, Ambani said at the 46th annual meeting of Reliance Industries.
Jio's customer base has crossed 450 million. Its 5G network covers 96 percent of cities, and the company plans to cover the entire country by December.
"Jio's overall customer base has now crossed the milestone of 450 million subscribers, representing a revenue growth of over 20 percent year-on-year," he said. The data consumption per user on the Jio network has increased and the average user now consumes more than 25GB every month.
Ambani said Jio launched seven years ago with the aim of making India the Leading Digital Society, adding that "we have invested our heart and soul in building a digital public infrastructure that the whole world has admired".
He claimed that Jio was the main catalyst for the grand digital transformation of New India.
