The official trailer of Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan is here and promises to take fans on a journey full of action, emotions, and powerful dialogues.
The trailer comes just seven days before the Atlee directorial is released in three languages - Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu - which may be a first for a mainstream film.

"About justice and Jawan. About women and their revenge. About mother and son. And of course lots of fun!!! Done Ahhh!!! #JawanTrailer now! #Jawan will release worldwide on September 7, 2023 in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu,” Shah Rukh wrote on X, formerly Twitter, on Thursday.
The trailer opens with footage of an injured man swimming in a river before being rescued by a tribe.

"Ek Raja tha, ek ke baad ek Jung harta gaya. Bhookha, pyaasa ghum raha jungle me. Bohat gusse me tha," says Shah Rukh's character in the background. In the next moment, he takes hostage the commuters of a metro train along with his team which includes Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Girija Oak, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Lehar Khan, and Aaliyah Qureshi.
In one of the more raucous scenes, a voice on a portable radio receiver asks the actor, "What do you want?", to which he replies, "Chahiye for Alia Bhatt."

And that's just the opening moments of the trailer, which offers fans much more than the trailer for the film that the team unveiled in July.
Throughout the trailer, Shah Rukh can be seen in multiple avatars, one with gray hair and the other with a moustache. The versatile look inspired fan theories that the actress might play a double role in the film.
Nayanthara plays a cop tasked with taking down Shah Rukh's vigilante but is also often seen romancing the actor. Actress Deepika Padukone also makes a special appearance and is seen wrestling Shah Rukh in one scene.
The main antagonist is played by Vijay Sethupathi. Her character is Kalee, who describes herself as "the fourth largest arms dealer in the world."
The trailer then takes a dark turn as it shows a lot of violence and carnage.

Like Shah Rukh's hit film Pathaan, 'Jawan' also strikes a patriotic chord as the actor dressed in the army uniform is shown with the dialogue 'Hum Jawan hai'. In one scene, Shah Rukh's character makes a grand entrance with a cigar and a hammer.
"Bete ko haath lagane se pehle, baap se Baat kar", says the character.

Jawan also stars Sunil Grover and Mukesh Chhabra. It is produced by Gauri Khan and co-produced by Gaurav Gupta under the production banner Red Chillies Entertainment.
