The five-member Constitution Commission of the Supreme Court is dealing with the claims of abrogation of Article 370. Leading activist Harish Salve presented his statement in support of the abrogation of Section 370 at the STK session on Thursday. Salve told the SC that Article 370 was a "political compromise" reached after the merger and integration of Jammu and Kashmir with India. "It may be difficult to find logic in all this because it was a political compromise. What Constituent Assembly was set up? It was a compromise made for reconciliation,” Salve said
