Amid emerging signals that the government plans to change the name of India to Bharat in the upcoming special session of Parliament, superstar Amitabh Bachchan today embraced the term Bharat with a tweet saying "Bharat Mata Ki Jai".

More statements are likely to come before the big change, the first of which comes from RSS chief Mohan Bhagwati, who said at a recent event in Guwahati that it's time to start calling India "Bharat".

RSS and sister organizations 14.-16.9. will probably meet to decide on a name change.
