AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has challenged Congress MP Rahul Gandhi to contest the 2024 Lok Sabha elections from Hyderabad and not Wayanad against him.
Owaisi who attended the rally on Monday said, "Is Baar Wayanad se Nahi Hyderabad mein muqabla karo" (This time the fight is for Hyderabad and not for Wayanad.) I challenge you (Rahul Gandhi) don't go to Wayanad, come to Hyderabad. . and compete in the elections."

"You make big statements, come on the field, and let's have a contest. Congressmen talk a lot, but I'm ready. Come face this man with a beard and a sherwan and you'll know what a contest means," he said. "Babri Masjid and Secretariat Mosque were demolished during the Congress rule", he charged.

– The same BJP MP who spoke badly in the Parliament also spoke against me. I told him to sit tight. You cannot face my sharp tongue. Members of Congress would talk a lot. I'm ready I also appeal to the people of Telangana, please remember that common people were harassed and attacked during the Congress rule. We barely secured peace in the city. Let this peace be untouchable,” Owaisi said.
Rahul Gandhi recently claimed that the BJP, Bharata Rastra Samithi (BRS), and AIMIM are working together ahead of the state assembly elections.
