New Zealand skipper Tom Latham won the toss and picked the ODI World Cup opener against defending champions England here on Thursday.
Latham will rule out skipper Kane Williamson from the opening match due to an ongoing knee injury. Lockie Ferguson also misses out, while Ish Sodhi and Tim Southee are all out.
In England, Ben Stokes was ruled out with a hamstring strain, while Gus Atkinson, Reece Topley and David Willey were also left out of the playing XI.
