The makers of the action-drama "Animal" announced on Wednesday that the film has grossed Rs 481 crore worldwide within five days of its release.

The movie, which was directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and starred Ranbir Kapoor, came out on December 1 in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.

Creation house T-Series shared the assortment update of 'Creature' on X.

"He is the Movies #Animal #AnimalHuntBegins," the standard inscribed the post which read that the film had crushed "film industry records 5-day overall gross" by acquiring Rs 481 crore.

Some viewers and critics have criticized "Animal," describing it as graphically violent and misogynistic despite its success in theaters.

In addition to Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna, Triptii Dimri, Suresh Oberoi, and Prem Chopra, the pan-India film received an "A" rating from the CBFC prior to its release.

"Animal" depicts a violent world against the backdrop of Ranbir's Ranvijay Singh's conflicted relationship with his father Balbir Singh, played by Anil Kapoor.

Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar's T-Series, Murad Khetani's Cine1 Studios, and Pranay Reddy Vanga's Bhadrakali Pictures are responsible for the production of the movie.
