May 31, 2025: According to the Union Health Ministry, India has 2,710 active COVID-19 cases, with 1,170 patients recovered. Comorbidities were a significant factor in most of the seven deaths reported across various states. One death in Delhi involved a 60-year-old woman with acute intestinal obstruction, where COVID-19 was an incidental finding. In Gujarat, one death is pending details.

A 70-year-old man in Karnataka died due to various health issues, with his COVID-19 status awaiting confirmation. Maharashtra reported two deaths, including a 21-year-old with diabetic ketoacidosis and a 67-year-old with severe respiratory issues and COVID-19 positive results. Punjab had a death of a 39-year-old man with acute respiratory syndrome, while Tamil Nadu reported a 60-year-old with multiple health conditions.

Kerala has 1,147 current cases, and Bihar is waiting for daily updates. Authorities are monitoring the situation closely, with the Union Minister of State for Health ensuring readiness to manage any developments. Plans are in place, and existing healthcare infrastructure is being reviewed to handle emergencies related to COVID-19.
