May 31, 2025: Best renowned for her role as Tulsi Virani in "Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi," actress-turned-politician Smriti Irani has allegedly started filming the second season of the show. After over twenty years, the former Union Minister is making a comeback to acting.
India Forums claims that the production has begun with increased security. The actress is filming under Z+ security, which is India's highest degree of protection. Strict security measures are in place on the sets, and cell phones are taped to stop leaks. Smriti, co-star Amar Upadhyay, and producer Ekta Kapoor are among the few who are not subject to the mobile phone ban.
Everyone on the sets, with the exception of Amar sir, Smriti ma'am, and Ekta ma'am, will have their cell phones recorded, according to a source close to the production. During the shoot, no one is allowed to use their phones. Z+ security is also used for Smriti's filming, and all members of the cast and crew are required to adhere to stringent security procedures.
Co-produced by Shobha and Ekta Kapoor under the auspices of Balaji Telefilms, the first "Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi" ran from 2000 until 2008. Tulsi, played by Smriti, became well-known and is still regarded as one of the most adored characters on Indian television.
