
Aug 5, 2025: BSSC CGL 2025: The application process for this recruitment drive will begin on August 18 and end on September 17.
The Graduate Level Combined Competitive Exam (CGL 2025) will be used to fill the 1,481 positions that have been advertised by the Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC). The application period for this recruitment campaign will open on August 18 and close on September 17. Candidates who meet the requirements can submit an application on the commission's primary website, bssc.bihar.gov.in. Eligibility criteria such as educational qualification and technical qualification are different for each post. Candidates can check the notification hosted on the official website for more details.
These positions are open to applicants who are at least 21 years old and no older than 37 years old on the closing date. However, candidates in the reserve category will be given an exception to the upper age limit in accordance with the rules. To select candidates, the commission will use objective-type questions in an examination if it receives more than 40,000 applications. BSSC will shortlist candidates equal to five times the number of vacancies for the mains exam based on the preliminary exam. The commission will publish a separate notification for the mains examination.

Test of mental capacity (comprehension, logic, reasoning, and mental capacity) The preliminary exam will have 150 questions, each worth four points. The exam must be attempted by candidates within two hours and fifteen minutes. For every incorrect answer, one mark will be deducted.
The question paper for the preliminary exam will be written in Hindi and English. The English version of the question will be used to resolve any disagreements. The exam center will allow candidates to bring three books, one for each of the topics. BSSC said that only NCERT, BSEB and ICSE boards' textbooks will be allowed.
Guide books, photocopies of books, handwritten papers, notes, electronic devices, etc. will not be allowed inside the exam hall.
