Aug 25, 2025: Rahul Sharma, an IAS officer from the 2013 batch of the AGMUT, has been named the new Chief Electoral Officer of the UT by the Ladakh Administration.

Following a notification from the Election Commission of India, the appointment was made, and Sharma, who is also the Administrative Secretary for the UT administration, will take over immediately.
