The All J&K Oil and LPG Tank Truck Drivers and Cleaners’ Union convened a pre-election meeting to assess the overall situation to conduct union polls under the chairmanship of its president Ranjit Singh Raina.

In the meeting, the Union Election Committee briefed the president and other senior functionaries, including general secretary Davinder Singh, special invitee Harasis Singh, members Amrik Singh and Ramesh Kumar.

The members expressed their concern about the frequent closure of the Jammu-Srinagar national highway that has delayed the union elections.

The meeting also discussed the issues of new membership cards, drafting of electoral rolls, weeding out of deceased voters and adding new members in the voting list.
