Ladakh Lieutenant-Governor Radha Krishna Mathur on Friday chaired the review meeting of the telecommunications-related issues and concerns of the region in New Delhi.

Adviser to L-G Umang Narula and officers and representatives of the departments concerned and telecom operators were also present.

The Lt-Governor stated the challenges being faced by the Ladakh Administration in the absence of communication facilities in most part of the region. He also outlined that the satellite phone services were not a viable solution to the poor voice and data services.

The L-G urged the telecom operators to give their inputs on the possible ways to mitigate the problems related to communication and connectivity in Ladakh.
