Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh today reviewed COVID-19 preparedness with Jammu & Kashmir medical fraternity through video conference, in which, among others, Financial Commissioner Health Atal Dulloo, senior officers of Union Territory government and heads of Government Medical Colleges (GMCs) and institutions including SKIMS participated.

At the outset, Dr. Jitendra Singh, on his behalf and on behalf of the Government of India, conveyed appreciation of the yeoman service rendered by the medical and health professionals as front – line warriors against Corona. He said, there will be no leniency for those attacking health workers who are performing their professional duties.

He thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for showing extreme sensitivity towards the Health workers by finalising the union Cabinet decision to promulgate Ordinance for stringent punishment to anybody trying to attack or be aggressive against a health worker.
