Lieutenant General Manoj Mukund Narwane became the 28th Army Chief of the Indian Army. He has replaced General Bipin Rawat. General Rawat has handed over the baton to Lieutenant Narwane. Earlier in the morning, Guard of Honor was given on the occasion of General Rawat's farewell. Of course, General Rawat has retired from the post of Army Chief but he will take over as the first Chief of Defense of the country tomorrow.
