IED attack at Pulwama; 1 CRPF jawan hurt

A CRPF jawan suffered injuries in the a low-intensity IED attack by terrorists at Pulwama on Sunday.
The explosion took place in Gongoo area of Pulwama this morning when security forces were passing through the area. It is being suspected that the attack was to target a CRPF convoy.
The security forces fired few shots in the air after the blast, the officials said, wire agencies reported.
The area has been cordoned off and search operation is underway. No casualties have been reported.
Last month, terrorists hurled a grenade at a Central Reserve Police Force camp at Batagund in the Tral area of Pulwama district. The CRPF personnel had also fired in the air following the explosion.
