The Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) today intensified its anti-encroachment drive in city areas and dismantled several pavements raised by shopkeepers to ensure the free movement of vehicles and pedestrians.

The drive was conducted with the support of the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Jammu, and the police in compliance with the orders of the Division Bench of High Court.

The drive was conducted in Gumat, Dogra Chowk, Jewel Chowk, Vivekanand Chowk near Rivera Hotel and adjoining areas on the instructions of the Commissioner, JMC, Pankaj Magotra, accompanied by Assistant Commissioner (Rev), Vijay Kumar Sharma, Tehsildar, Jammu, Ravi Sharma, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Shwetambri Sharma, DSP (Traffic), Jammu, Jeevan Sharma, and other officers.
