India reports less than 30,000 fresh coronavirus cases; 449 deaths in last 24 hours

India on Tuesday reported 29,164 new coronavirus cases taking the toll to 88,74,291, according to the Union Health Ministry. With 449 new deaths in the last 24 hours, the toll has mounted to 1,30,519. The total active cases stand at 4,53,401 after a decrease of 12,077 in the last 24 hours. With 40,791 new discharges, total recovered cases are at 82,90,371. For the tenth day, India has reported less than 50,000 daily coronavirus cases. The last time the daily new cases crossed the 50,000 threshold was on November 7.
